Director of Substrate Biochar. Delivering scaled biochar carbon removal across southern Africa. With a first site in KZN, Substrate Biochar works closely with concrete, asphalt, mining and fertiliser companies to deliver a value-added product that increases the bottom line. Oliver's experience spans 10 years in carbon project development. Previously Oliver was at McKinsey &Co and at the Rockefeller Foundation, where he ran the Africa Carbon Markets Initiative, was on the GFANZ Africa Carbon Markets Working Group and ran a global carbon portfolio. Oliver holds and MSc and BA from Oxford University.
